The short version

LockScribe has no accounts, no analytics service, and no servers of ours. Your recordings, transcripts, and voiceprints live on your phone and nowhere else. We cannot see them, and neither can anyone who breaches us, because there is nothing of yours here to breach.

Recording and transcription

Audio is captured only while you press record, after an audible announcement. Speaker separation and transcription run entirely on your device's neural engine. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no "cloud processing" mode.

Voiceprints

If you enroll a voice so transcripts show a name instead of "Speaker 1," that voiceprint is stored on the device and used only there. It is never transmitted.

Exports are your call

Your sessions leave the phone only when you export them: AirDrop, the Files app, a USB cable to your computer, or anything you choose in Apple's share sheet. Where you send them is up to you; LockScribe never sends them anywhere on its own.

The one network event: Pro models

The built-in transcription model ships inside the app and works fully offline. If you subscribe to Plus and choose to download a larger Pro model or an additional language, the app fetches those model files over the network once. That download sends none of your data: no audio, no transcripts, no identifiers beyond an ordinary file request.

Subscriptions

Purchases go through Apple. We receive no card numbers and no identity. Apple tells the app only that a valid subscription exists.

Your responsibility

How you handle recordings and consent in your practice remains your professional responsibility, including the recording-consent laws in your area. What we can state as fact: session data never leaves the device unless you export it.
